The rules that shape how medicines move

A drug licence at every site

Each place that stores medicines for sale needs its own drug licence. A qualified person must be named on it.

Stored as the label says

Each medicine must be kept at the temperature and in the conditions printed on its label.

Licence numbers on each invoice

A wholesale invoice shows the drug licence numbers of both sides and the batch of each medicine.

A QR code on every API pack

Every pack of an active ingredient, made here or imported, carries a QR code with its batch and dates.

Imports through listed ports

Medicines and their ingredients may only enter India through the ports and airports listed for drugs.

A check by the drug officer

At the port, the drug officer checks the papers. The officer may also test a sample before the lot can be sold.

Batch stock when a price changes

When a controlled price changes, the maker must show the stock of each batch held by itself and its distributors.

The basics

What is pharma logistics?
It is the work of storing and moving medicines and the ingredients they are made from. It covers imports, licensed storage, delivery to stockists and hospitals, and exports. We run all of it as one partner.
Do your warehouses hold a drug licence?
Yes. Our sites hold a wholesale drug licence, with a qualified person named on it. Your medicines are stored the way the law asks from the day they arrive.
At what temperature do you store medicines?
We store medicines that keep at room temperature, in temperature-controlled rooms. We do not run cold rooms. So insulin, vaccines and other cold chain medicines are not stored with us.

Exports

Do you handle pharma exports to the US and Europe?
Yes. We collect your lot, file the shipping bill and clear export customs. Then we book the ship or the flight. Our work ends when your goods are on board. Our ocean freight and air freight pages explain each mode.
Which export papers do you prepare?
We prepare the shipping bill and the certificate of origin. We also check the invoice and packing list against the load. Your plant's licences and product certificates stay with you.
Do you ship by sea or by air?
Both. Full loads usually go by sea in a container. Urgent or high-value lots go by air from the nearest airport.

API imports and bond

Which ports can take drug imports?
Medicines and APIs may only enter India through the ports and airports listed for drugs. We plan your route through one of them, so your goods are not held at the wrong port.
Can you hold our API imports in bond?
Yes. Your imports can wait in our customs bonded warehouse or in our FTWZ. You pay the duty on each lot when you take it out. Our import distribution page explains how bonded storage and the FTWZ differ.
Can you hold a lot until our quality team releases it?
Yes. We keep the lot apart and on hold in our records. It joins your stock for sale only when you release it.

Distribution in India

Can you be our C&F agent?
Yes. As your C&F agent in a state, we hold your stock, bill your stockists in your name and deliver to them. You get a licensed depot without leasing one.
Do you deliver to hospitals?
