What is Stockarea network?

Stockarea Network is a network of warehouse providers associated with Stockarea that provides different warehousing and fulfillment services PAN India. It is a place that showcases our partner warehouses. Stockarea has a process through which they make sure all its warehouse providers are extremely vetted and they follow the standardized operating guidelines set by Stockarea.Stockarea provides a Network that acts as a common ground for both warehouse service providers and warehouse seekers. A warehouse service provider can create a profile of their warehouse at our network, which connects them to businesses that are seeking a warehouse service through our technology platform. Thus, providing a wide variety of warehouses to the warehouse seeker and more visibility for the warehouse providers.

What are the different benefits I can get from Stockarea?

What is a warehouse profile, and how will I be benefitted from it?

A warehouse profile is a detailed description informing the customers about the capabilities and services of the warehouse. It tells the customer about the location, space ready to occupy, cluster, warehouse-type, industries it serves, facilities it provides, accreditations & NOCs, warehouse infrastructure etc. We analyze more than 150 parameters for a warehouse which provides the customer a holistic view of the warehouse. Our Network provides you with an array of opportunities to sell your warehouse space and ensure your warehouse is generating maximum revenue. The better a warehouse seeker can learn about your warehouse, more likely he/she is to choose your warehouse. You can also share the link of your warehouse profile to people and potential clients online which acts as your warehouse portfolio. The profile also creates more online visibility, hence increasing the reach of the warehouse. In case of Leasable spaces, the profile acts as a real-estate profile which we further share onto our real estate partners.

How do I get paid for the services I provide?

Stockarea provides month to month consolidated billing across all the contracts being served by you. The price points of all being assigned at the time of creation of the contract and the final price being decided by the number of execution of the services as decided at the time of finalization of the contract. All of which can be tracked through our technology platform.

With whom will I sign the agreement with, Stockarea or Warehouse Provider?

Stockarea will sign the general warehousing contract with you which would give you the rights to access our Digital Warehousing platform. Our Digital Warehousing platform is a formed network of warehouses across India capable of performing varied warehousing functions digitally. This contract will also give Stockarea the responsibility of service execution. And before accessing any of the facility individually, a separate contract has to be accepted digitally by you and the warehouse provider specifying the scope of service and price points through Stockarea platform.

Also, all the warehouse providers under Stockarea follow the same Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Thus, it allows the customer to access any warehouse within our Network without worrying about the quality of service.

To me, Stockarea or Warehouse Operator, who'll be the frontline worker?

All the operations regarding your warehousing requirements can be handled from our technology platform. Any exchange of service will be facilitated through stockarea.io platform. We provide you with a warehouse management system through which you can find the best optimal warehouse for your goods, manage them, and also send them to your clients through our fulfillment services. We have a digital solution for almost all of your warehousing requirements. In case, a situation arises where manual operation or taking to the warehouse provider is required Stockarea works with the warehouse providers to get the work done and works as a single support system for you to make sure your needs are fulfilled. Thus, there will be very few instances where you will have to interact with the warehouse provider.

Does Stockarea have any minimum contract size requirement?

No, our focus is to make warehousing contracts accessible, optimal and easy to execute. Stockarea serves entities of all sizes-small, medium scale businesses and big enterprises. We are interested to work on any storage requirement, but contract feasibility can only be obtained after a thorough analysis of your requirements.

Can I inspect my goods at Stockarea’s 3PL warehouse?

It will not be required because a dedicated Relationship Manager from Stockarea would be working with you to solve all your requirements. But if you want to ever visit the warehouse, on special request we can arrange your visit. You need to inform us 24-48 hrs before the visit. Also, to take care that you don’t face much trouble, we can send Stockarea personnel to the warehouse to inspect your goods and make sure that they are stored in a safe and desired manner.

Can I use my branded packaging in the fulfilment services being provided by Stockarea?

Yes, you can use your branded packaging. You can give us your packaging requirements, and we will arrange a packaging partner that would fulfil your needs at the best price possible. Also, if you wish, you can send your packaging materials to us which we will directly use to pack your products.

How far will your costing be competitive compared to other Warehouse service providers?

Stockarea focuses on creating overall value for your supply chain. Stockarea helps you in identifying an optimal warehouse partner based on the nature of your inventory, inventory movement types such as box in box out (BIBO) or box in piece out (BIPO), need for repackaging, inventory storage methods and others. Stockarea provides a platform to you and the warehouse provider to carry out warehousing services in a secure, digital and more efficient way. We have a policy that your goods need to be insured before storing them in our warehouses which can also be purchased through Stockarea at a competitive cost. You can look at the warehouse profile and can talk to the service provider on insurance availability. Also, all the warehouse providers under Stockarea follow the same Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) made by us, thus, reducing the chances of any damages.

How can I be sure my goods will be safe inside Stockarea’s partner warehouses?

Stockarea has a process through which we make sure all its warehouse providers are extremely vetted and they follow the standardized operating guidelines set by Stockarea. Stockarea also has a mandatory insurance policy wherein you can either get your goods self-insured from your insurance partners or Stockarea can get your goods insured through its partners.

How would a claim be handled if the facility were to damage one or several of my pallets?

Stockarea makes sure that your goods are insured. We also have a mandatory insurance policy wherein you can either get your goods self-insured from your insurance partners or Stockarea can get your goods insured through its partners. Thus, the goods will remain safe and insured. Although if any goods of yours gets damaged because of the fault of our warehouse provider, Stockarea would step into the situation and solve the issue.

How can I get a warehouse on lease with Stockarea?

Anyone can access the Stockarea warehousing Network to find a warehouse. We index warehouses based on cities and warehousing clusters under them and provide an easy way to explore warehouses based on the city. You can get detailed information about various warehouse facilities in each city from warehouse profiles.

To help you make better decisions and procure new warehouse, we grade individual facilities based on various parameters, work with you closely to achieve your supply chain goals by finding the right facility as per your need.

How can I get a quote for my warehousing requirements?

It's really simple with Stockarea to get a quote for the warehouse you like. First you need to fill out the Getting Started form and a warehousing expert will call you back within 24-48 hrs and if you wish to proceed further he will make your account on Stockarea and give you the access to our platform. Now, you have to create a Request for Proposal (RFP) for your warehousing requirements from your Stockarea dashboard. You have to fill up all the necessary details according to your needs. After an RFP is created, Stockarea will contact their warehouses which would be suitable according to your requirements and ask for a quotation. The quotations from different warehouses will then be drafted into proposals by Stockarea and sent to you. You can accept or reject the proposals. Stockarea tries to get you an optimal warehouse at the best possible prices. If you further wish to make some changes to the requirements or the proposals, you can contact Stockarea, and we will make sure the changes are made.

What kind of goods can be stored in Stockarea’s warehouses?

You can store any goods in our warehouses except food; perishable goods; narcotics; arms & ammunition; liquids; gases; living or dead plants or animals; waste; materials which are flammable, explosive, toxic, polluted, contaminated, radioactive; organic material or that which might attract vermin or insects; or any other materials which are in any manner illegal, dangerous and unsafe to store or handle in an enclosed area; any negotiable instruments, cash, jewellery, antiques or items that have intrinsic market value.
