A duty that changes mid-way
An anti-dumping duty or a new rate can start while your goods are still at sea.
Goods in bond pay the rate in force on the day they leave. You choose when to clear them.

Powders take in damp and food grades pick up smells. Some products must never sit side by side.

E-way bills on every load
Every load above the value limit needs an e-way bill, including moves between your own warehouses.
Stock in another state
Stock you keep in a state needs your GST registration there, with our warehouse named as your place of business.
Duty set on the day it leaves bond
Goods in a bonded warehouse pay the duty rate in force on the day they are cleared, not the day they landed.
Time limits in bond
Goods may stay in bond for a set time, with interest after a set period. Customs can shorten it for goods that spoil.
The BIS mark on listed chemicals
Some chemicals still need the BIS mark to be sold or stored. Their foreign maker needs a BIS licence too.
Anti-dumping duty by source
Many chemicals carry an anti-dumping duty that depends on the country and the maker. The certificate of origin decides what you pay.
A data sheet with every product
Each chemical should travel with its safety data sheet. It says how to store the product, move it and deal with a spill.
A licensed store for flammable liquids
