Import logistics from your supplier abroad to your buyers across India

We ship your goods from any country, clear them through customs, store them in our warehouses and deliver them to your traders and dealers across India.

Four vendors run your imports. Nobody owns the gaps.

Your forwarder, CHA, warehouse and transporter each do their own job. But nobody owns the handovers between them, and that is where delays, extra costs and mismatched records creep in.

With four vendorsWith Stockarea

You only learn the real landed cost after the goods arrive, so dealer prices are a guess.

Freight, duty and port charges are worked out before the goods ship, so you price your dealers on the real cost.

Duty on the whole shipment is paid on arrival, even though the stock sells over months.

Your stock waits in a bonded warehouse or our FTWZ, and you pay duty only on each lot as it sells.

Retail packs arrive without the importer's label and MRP, and are held until they are relabelled.

Labels are checked with your supplier before shipping, so packs clear and sell without rework.

Everything lands at one port, so every dealer order travels the length of the country.

Stock moves to stock points near your buyers, so each order ships from close by.

Stock counts, Bills of Entry and dealer invoices never agree, so GST credit is hard to prove.

Every lot is tracked from the Bill of Entry to the dealer invoice, so your stock and GST credit match.

From your supplier's dock to your buyer's door

Freight booking

Freight booked and papers checked before your cargo sails

We book sea or air freight with your suppliers in any country and check every document before the goods leave, so nothing gets stuck at the port.

  • Sea and air freight booked on your buying terms
  • Invoice, packing list, HS code and approvals checked
  • Bill of Entry filed while the cargo is still at sea
Customs clearance

Customs clearance without waiting on the next vendor

One team files the Bill of Entry, pays the duty and gets the release, and the truck is already booked when customs lets the cargo go.

  • Assessment, examination and duty handled by one team
  • Delivery order and trucks booked before the release
  • Empty containers returned before free time runs out
Warehousing

Stored the way that suits your stock: duty paid, bonded or FTWZ

Your goods go into a general warehouse, a customs bonded warehouse or our Free Trade Warehousing Zone, so duty can wait until each lot sells.

  • Pay duty lot by lot from bond or our FTWZ
  • Importer labels and MRP checked before release
  • Every lot recorded by batch or serial against its Bill of Entry
Stock points

Stock moved to the states where your buyers are

We move stock from our warehouse near the port to stock points near your buyers, so every order ships from close by.

  • Stock transfers with the right invoices and e-way bills
  • Stock points added under your GST in each state
  • Stock in every state on one screen
Delivery

Delivered to your traders, dealers and distributors

Orders go out from the nearest stock point, or straight from our warehouse, in full or part truckloads, with proof of delivery for every drop.

  • Full and part truckloads to every buyer
  • Bill one party and ship to another
  • Proof of delivery and returns recorded

Three ways to store your imports

You can pay duty when your goods land, or later as they sell. Pick the option that fits how quickly your stock moves.

General warehouse

Pay duty and IGST when the goods clear the port, then sell them anywhere in India.

Choose it when
  • Your stock sells soon after it lands
  • You want the IGST credit straight away
  • Goods go on to stock points in other states

Customs bonded warehouse

Customs works out the duty at the port, and you pay it only as you take each lot out.

Choose it when
  • Your stock sells steadily over a few months
  • You want to spread duty across the season
  • You may sell some lots while still in bond

Free Trade Warehousing Zone

We run our own zone, where goods are treated as outside India, so no duty or IGST is due until you clear them.

Choose it when
  • Your stock sells slowly or demand is uncertain
  • Goods may be re-exported to other countries
  • Goods need labelling or checks before they enter India

Lower operational costs

Goods move to our stock points in bulk and out to buyers in short runs, which keeps the freight on each order down.

Better cash flow

Fewer clearance delays

Cargo leaves the port sooner because we check approvals and papers before shipping, file the Bill of Entry early and have a truck waiting.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does import customs clearance work in India?
You or your customs broker file a Bill of Entry, customs checks it and works out the duty, you pay it, and the cargo is released after any examination. We file the Bill of Entry while the cargo is still at sea, so the checks and duty are done by the time it lands and the truck is booked for the release.
Do we need an IEC to import?
Yes. An Importer Exporter Code from DGFT is needed for commercial imports, and it has to be updated every year to stay active. The Bill of Entry is filed under your IEC and your GST registration, which is how the IGST credit reaches you.
Which duties do we pay on imports, and what can we claim back?
You pay basic customs duty, the social welfare surcharge and IGST, plus any anti dumping or safeguard duty on that product. Only the IGST comes back, as input tax credit in your GST registration. The rest is part of your landed cost.
Should we buy FOB or CIF?
FOB usually gives you control of the freight, the forwarder and the charges at the Indian port. On CIF the seller's agent chooses the carrier and often sets higher local charges on arrival. We book the freight either way.
Can we pay duty only when our stock sells?
Yes. Hold the goods in a customs bonded warehouse or in our Free Trade Warehousing Zone and clear them lot by lot as your buyers order. Duty and IGST are paid only on each lot you clear.
Bonded warehouse or FTWZ: which suits us?
A bonded warehouse suits stock that sells steadily, since interest applies once goods stay beyond the interest-free period. Our FTWZ suits slower or uncertain sellers and goods that may be re-exported, because goods there are treated as outside India and no interest runs. We help you choose by product.
What is a Free Trade Warehousing Zone?
A zone under the SEZ Act where goods are treated as outside India for customs. Goods can be stored, labelled, repacked and sold there, cleared into India lot by lot as they sell, or sent abroad again without paying Indian duty.
What labels do imported retail packs need?
Packs sold to consumers must carry the importer's name and address, the generic name, net quantity, month and year of import, MRP, consumer care details and country of origin before release. Packs sold only to businesses are largely exempt.
Which approvals can hold up clearance?
It depends on the product: BIS certification, an EPR registration, FSSAI clearance for food, CDSCO registration for cosmetics and medical devices, WPC approval for wireless goods or an import monitoring registration. We check what applies to each product before it ships.
Do we need a GST registration in every state where you store our stock?
Yes. Our warehouse in each state is added as a place of business under your GST registration there, and stock moved between your own registrations is a taxable transfer. Our Integrated 3PL page covers the options.
Can we sell to our buyer before the goods land?
Yes, through a high sea sale. Your buyer becomes the importer, files the Bill of Entry and pays the duty, and the sale itself is outside GST. Our Manufacturing Logistics page explains how it works.
What if we find a mistake in a Bill of Entry after clearance?
You can now revise it yourself online after clearance, paying any shortfall with interest and no penalty, or claiming back an excess. This is not available once an audit or investigation has started.
Which ports and airports do you clear at?
Sea ports on both coasts, including Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Chennai, Tuticorin, Visakhapatnam and Kolkata, the inland container depots in the main cities, and the air cargo terminals at the major airports.
